Since its debut, the Dodge Torque-Arm II line of shaft mount reducers has become known for its power and unparalleled torque ratings. With wider gear faces, extended gear centers and increased tooth contact, the TA-II Dodge shaft mount reducer delivers more horsepower while withstanding up to 500,000 pound inches of torque.
Available in 12 different case sizes ranging up through 400 horsepower, this this Dodge gear reducer offers offers several benefits over the original Torque-Arm reducer. Improved features include:
Redesigned backstop. Centrifugal lift-off sprags extend the life of the unit and can be lubed with products containing EP additives, which help decrease wear on parts exposed to extreme pressure.
Patented sealing system. The premium sealing system on this Dodge shaft mount reducer incorporates an HNBR oil seal, which retains its resistance to petroleum-based lubricants at higher temperatures than standard elastomers. When protected by a metal excluder seal with rubbing lip, the HNBR seal makes the TA-II ideal for the harshest industries, such as mining, cement and mixing.
Modular housing. The state-of-the-art modular design features an expanded ratio range up to 40:1 as well as a new steel motor mount and patented twin tapered bushing system.
The TA-II Dodge gear reducer was developed using customer feedback to improve upon other reducers on the market.
