The Falk F coupling is such a high-quality part that we’re continuing to hear about it despite the fact that it’s no longer being produced. With its strong steel grid and astounding ability to absorb impact, the F coupling is still used in many industrial settings. When these now-obsolete couplings fail, however, replacing them isn’t as easy as it used to be. Still, it can be done.
Check with a Falk surplus dealer. Because the F coupling was so widely used, it can often still be found as a salvaged or refurbished part from a quality surplus parts dealer. Here at Mar-Dustrial, we’ve collected a vast surplus inventory over the years, so there’s a good chance we either have what you need or can track it down for you.
Consider T couplings instead. When Falk discontinued the F coupling, it was because this high-performing model was being replaced with a newer design: the T coupling. T couplings are generally interchangeable with F couplings; they offer all of the same features and benefits, plus a time-saving replace-in-place design.
Tracking down an obsolete part can be a time-consuming process, especially if you don’t know where to look. You can save a lot of time – and potentially money – by partnering with a highly experienced surplus dealer who can do the dirty work for you.
