Mar-Dustrial specializes in making old gear reducers just like new. The gear reducer repair project below was no small feat, but we were up for the challenge.
This was a gear reducer located at a paper mill in the Northwest section of Portland.
The repair needed to be done for an annual shutdown at the mill. In order to complete the repair, we had to wait for over two months to receive parts from overseas.
When the parts finally arrived, the Mar-Dustrial crew worked 10-12 hour days for nine straight days to meet the deadline.
The reducer weighed in at 15,000 pounds.
180 man hours was put into this repair.
We enjoy pleasing our clients with the end result.
